I am an Italian artist from Venice.  I started dancing in Italian courtyards at the sound of the Mandolin, Accordion and Tambourine from a very early age. I took part to my school's musicals as I was growing up, and learnt modern dance.

I studied Modern Languages, Art and Drama at the University of Salerno in Italy, and landed my first professional job as Artist and Dancer at Disneyland Paris in 1999.

When I left Paris, I thought I was too old to carry on being a dancer, so I settled for an office job instead.  I studied Sales, Marketing and Management. I worked on my Customer Service skills and reinvented myself in various roles, and that  was enough for a little while.

In August 2012, talking to an old friend who had just come back from Egypt, I had a light bulb moment.  When I got back from London that evening, I Googled "Is belly dance suitable after pregnancy?".  I then looked up local schools in Reading and the Santa Maria Bellydance Academy (SMBA) appeared in my search.  I took my courage up, and decided to give it a try.

I have attended classes with Helen Santa Maria since!

In 2015 I enrolled for my first IDTA Dance Award competition via the Santa Maria Bellydance Academy, and I currently hold the IDTA Bronze, Silver and Gold.  My passion for belly dancing kept growing, and I decided to study with Hossam Ramzy and Serena Ramzy, to work on my musical interpretation skills, and completed the Drumzy School of Music and Dance Foundation course in September 2015.

Determined to grow as an Artist, I applied for a Dance Teacher Apprenticeship with Helen Santa Maria in October 2015, and I was accepted. After graduating as an Apprentice, I carried on as Assistant Coach for the SMBA Team. This was a steep learning curve and a fantastic opportunity at the same time.

I have been  teaching weekly belly dance classes for the members of the Reading University Belly Dance Society (RUBDS), fsince October 2016. I am also part of the Coaching Team at the SMBA, and perform with the Desert Diamonds, a belly dance performance troupe based in Berkshire, directed and choreographed by Helen Santa Maria.

I keep pushing myself as an artist, and I am determined to bring passion and sparkle to my stage performances and my dance classes. My main focus is to support the well-being, mental fitness and self-expression of all my students through the beautiful art of dance.
